(no subject)
i haven't updated in freaking forever, and my freshman year of college has finally ended, so i feel like this would be a good time to update.
my last full day at georgia tech was friday. thus ended my spring finals week (i had one on monday, another on tuesday, and my last on friday). i'm mad about physics cause i totally deserved an A but it was so borderline. oh well. i passed calculus, thank the lord, and i passed inorganic too. yay for dean's list again! ohhhh yeaaaah i rock. anyways, i'm happy the work is over. my parents drove up on friday, they met some of my friends, and we took off on saturday. and now i'm sad...
so my spring semester as a whole was a pretty good one. my classes ended up being a bitch in the end, but hey it's college. we complained to the provost to get our calculus computer project cancelled and we succeeded. i ended up understanding a lot of inorganic, which i must say, is very surprising. i'm only scared for next semester since my course load isn't looking too hot -- differential equations, physics II, conservation principles in biomedical engineering, computing for engineers, and organic chemistry I. EWW. oh well.
peoplewise i would say things were awesome. i made some absolutely awesome friends this year in my dorm and at tech in general, and i don't think i could have made it through this year without them. kathleen is the bestest roommate ever ohhhh yeah. sarah, bre, kathleen and i are living together next year, and that is going to be interesting. that's all i can say really. i accidently gave libby expired easy mac as a parting gift... do not see that as a representation of how much i love you haha. sam is my bestest lunch after english buddy ever. i heart my unicorn that he gave me for my bday. jackie and i suffered through the misery of all our classes. camila always makes me laugh. nikki is my support group. jared will always be my biomed buddy that suffers through this horrible major with me. khushbu is like my twin. nessa and i will always cherish our rha and bmed 1300 memories--- i hate pedometers. humera always visited me monday nights for labs. and i love getting drunk so i can make carmen laugh. and of course i heart andrew and he always puts a smile on my face from our sunday night dinners at rays to getting drunk at pikapp and spending lots of time on a couch to bothering kathleen to.. i have no idea, everything else haha. i never wanna forget this semester.
this year has been amazing. i must say college was definetely not what i expected. it was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. i didn't think i would like georgia tech all that much, but looking back, i can't imagine myself anywhere else. georgia tech is the place for me in the end i guess- i wanna be an engineer and i love the city.
goals for the summer:
1) get a job
2) research co-op opportunties for next spring
3) set up some undergrad research stuff
4) get in shape (we'll see how that one goes ha)
5) and finally, to keep in touch with my techies cause i love love love them to death
