Well I’ve got the feeling today is going to be a good day. In fact it’s been a good week so far. Why? Well where do I start?
Monday night I went to the theatre in Bromley to see ‘There’s a no place like a home’. It’s a comedy that is currently doing a national tour. It was quite funny, not hysterical but not bad. The big plus was that the cast included Brian Cant (I was such a Trumpton fan when I was small) and Richard Grieve who played Sam in Neighbours. Okay, yes that’s why I went. He was really good, much taller in real life than he ever looked on television. His hair was grey (I think he dyed it as Sam) and cut short and he looked much more lovely than he did as Sam with the long black hair. So there we go, Richard was the 18th Neighbour (ex or present) that I’ve seen live. WooHoo!!! Next stop Ben Nicholas
Last night I went to Wembley Arena to see Cliff Richard in concert. He was absolutely fantastic. Over two hours of top draw entertainment. Loads of classics (Move it, Young Ones, Wired for sound, We don’t talk anymore and so many more) and stuff from his last couple of albums including duets of Fields of Gold, Yesterday once more and Anyone who had a heart. Got to buy the album. It was great. WooHoo
Then this morning, it’s announced that my man, commonly known as Jason Donovan (obviously technically he’s not mine, more’s the pity) is going to be in I’m a celebrity, get me out of here. Quite surprised by that to be honest, as he’d always turned them down in the past, but hey at least it means more coverage of him in the media, though that could be expensive - I’ve already bought 3 extra papers today! It will be like going back to the 1980s with him on tv every night. Here’s hoping he wins - the bookies have got him as favourite. WooHoo!
The other factor that proves it is a good week is Man U lost to Southend last night. Apparently Mum had a rather difficult evening last night being in the same house as Dad while he, a lifelong Man U fan, watch them crash to defeat! Lol, wish I’d been there! (apols Alex as I’m sure you’re gutted!)
