Season opener!

This weekend we had the first of many long weekends at the track. It was really just a practice, but none-the-less, we prepared for it just the same. Well, almost the same. My mom had to work so, it was up to me to get everyone ready and loaded and basically taking care of everyone else and barely having time to get in the shower and ready.

We loaded the trailer, truck, and Tom's car. 4 bikes, extra wheels, tool boxes, one huge cooler of drinks and food, 3 sets of gear,9 people, and a box of food later and we were ready to go. The ride there was long as usual. Not as long as some of the rides though, so, I guess I can't complain. It was more interesting than usual because Tom, Sarah, Miranda, and I went in his car. We jammed to some good music, "Crazy Bitch" is one of the songs we jammed to. Then there were the calls from John and the discussion that we would have to teach him how to talk in a 2- way.

We got to the track and everyone was pumped to ride. Some of them for the first time that season. Tom got his new bike. He was sooooooo excited to ride. He put his gear on and it made it that much more real. He had been out of the game for a while so, everyone was anxious to see if he still had it.

Remember all the stuff that we loaded? Yeah, well, now it was time to unload it. By the time that was done, John and Tony had gotten to the track. It was good seeing Tony since it has been entirely too long. They all got ready and went out to turn some laps. You should have seen the cheezy look on Sarah's face when Tom went out there. That is evidence on how much she truly does love him, to be that excited for him to be able to do what he loves doing.

It wasn't even 3 laps down and Tom was sliding off the banking in turn 3. His dad shook his head, my dad started to go down to him, Sarah started going for him, and me knowing he was okay started to laugh and watch John, Will, and Miranda ride. Oh yeah, and little D (Dustin) had his first ride on a real flat track and tore that shit up.

The day progressed and it was one of those days that one minute you were sweating and the next you were freezing. So, I was not happy with my choice of attire for the day. Oh and somewhere along the lines Sarah and I both got grease on our knees and were catching major slack for it. That will be the last time that I save John's ass and round him up stuff.

Then Brent showed up. That was very interesting because everyone hates him. This is what lead to Will going out on the track when he was riding and messing with him. It was seriously one of the funniest things I saw all day. He would pass him and look back at him then he would fly away and wave his hand saying come on. Then he would wait up and do it all over again. It had to be frusterating for Brent cuz they just loaded up and left.

Then the time was for us to load all this shit once again. There was a little less to load since we had some hungry riders eating up the food. We wanted to go to Craig's Cruisers to go kart. This was gonna depend on if John and Henry came. Which they didn't. So, we went home and hit the sheets cuz we were all really wore out. But, I am glad that Henry is back, damn we missed him. Beth and I can't wait to kick his ass in go karts.

Well, that was the exciting events of the weekend. Nothing much besides me getting really sick has happened this week. I think I am starting to get better, since I had the energy to sit and type this out. But who knows.

That's pretty much it!

Love Always,
Jamie Mae**
