Loud lawnmower
I'm finally sitting on my deck, in my old Mom swimsuit from last year, drinking tea. I don't have that long because I have to shower & get ready for today.
The pool is open. It's an above -ground and it is teeny-tiny, as in, when friends come to visit & we both lay on a float, there's only room for the two floats. Which don't have room to float. So we lay there stationery. No room for swans or unicorns or donuts. Which is a bummer, obviously, because those are fabulous.
We're going to Providence to have dinner at Gracie's & see this Cirque du Soleil show that's based on Avatar. It's at...ok, here's where I'm old, I still call it the Providence Civic Center. (I hate how places are named for companies now) I'm gonna wear a black Betsey Johnson dress w/white trim that I got last year. It's polyester (remember in the 80s when that was a big diss? "Ew, your clothes are polyester!") but they're doing pretty great things with thatfabric now
