Here is your daily report on the status of activity in my thyroid gland: Lab results from last week came back with a TSH of 5.8 -- normal range is 2-5, and the target is 3. My doctor is increasing my thyroid prescription a second time from 175 to 200 mcg. You've seen the positive effect that the raise from 150 to 175 has had on me in the past 6 weeks. It's my opinion that taking 200 mcg of thyroid every day will leave me wired for sound. As I said to Katie Downey on Facebook, with all that energy, I will not only Clean All The Things, I will polish and alphabetize them as well. BRING IT ON!

Ian and I went out to the movies last night, and caught "Project X." It's the new movie about teen-age pursuit of sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. Amusing enough if you like that genre of film, which I do. WARNING: It is filmed 100% in All Shaky Cam All The Time, however. I don't feel especially susceptible to Shaky Cam in general, and yet this one overwhelmed me. I couldn't even watch the end of the movie, as it was all over the place visually!

Hobbit Tuesday Dinner is tonight! Tuesdays, our friend Higgins comes over for dinner and a movie. I've got an all-day spaghetti sauce going in the crockpot. I still haven't nearly perfected my from-cans spaghetti sauce... perhaps it's just as well since I'm interested in learning how to make it entirely from real tomatoes instead! "But not today," as Hannibal Lecter once said to Clarice. I'm making a dish where you fry breaded pork chops in olive oil, pour the sauce over them, and then I've got some uber-fresh pasta from Whole Foods for the side. I've tried the DiGiorno or whatever brand fresh pasta from the regular grocery store before, and I find its taste and consistency to be vastly superior to dried pasta. If you've never tried it, you should. Then take that experience, and the really fresh stuff from Whole Foods is about 10 times more awesome. I mean, it is incredibly delicious! Definitely worth the special trip, and the extra price, comparatively. Looking forward to serving a yummy Hobbit dinner to our friend tonight, and if I'm lucky, I'll get a little knitting time once the plates are cleared... I'm having such fun trying to learn how to knit socks, and I'm eager to devote some time to that project!
