Backwards Hangers

organize eventually came through will a positively BRILLIANT idea about clean sweeping. Someone there suggested that as I've just moved, I put all my clothes hangers on the rack backwards - that is to say, with the hook facing me. As I wear each article, I replace the hanger the right way. That will give me a visual cue as to which articles aren't getting ( Read more... )

I tried that, but the REALLY OCD part of me went CRAZY seeing hangers in the wrong direction. I seriously lasted one day, and then I had to switch everything back. :)

This is what I do for clothes elimination, though it's not as good, perhaps: I hang all the clothes up. As they get worn and washed and rehung, they get placed at a certain end of the bar. Over time, things that don't get warn migrate to the end of the bar, while more enjoyed clothes stay at the other end. I do that for Cam's clothes, too. He ususally foils my plans by hanging things wherever, though. ;P
