I'm really glad that's Not Your Dress. You've really hit upon the reason why when you compare it to venetian blinds. It's awful even before you see the flowers.

3. You're right-- Venetian blinds really is the best metaphor for this one. And very bad choice of beading placement. I can see it now... the entire ceremony, the hapless bride would be snapping her fingers and saying things like "to love and to cherish, for richer or... honey, I'm up here!" ;)
