There've been lots of funny moments over the last couple of days, since I got my balance back. W has a very good sense of humour, and I'm glad to see it's not been worn down by the last feww weeks. I don't remember them all - they've been flowing freely - but two this morning just had me giggling.

We were walking down the stairs at the train station, and a girl moved in front of us with very shapely bare legs, heels and a short skirt. W looked at her and said to me "Honey, can you get your legs like that?" I've thought for only a fraction of a second before saying "Sure, as long as you can wait til summer". He laughed and said "You give me way too much leeway. Most men would have been in serious trouble for saying that." It honestly hadn't occurred to me. I just grinned and said "As long as you understand that it's way too freaking cold to dress like that right now, I'm cool with it."

Then there was the moment standing on the platform, when he touched his very cold nose to my face and said "Your face is warm". I retorted "You know what they say, warm face, cold heart". He looked down at me and said "You're not coldhearted. You can't be coldhearted and be a sookie-lala." I just about choked. I'd hoped I'd managed to insulate him from that particular piece of this city's slang. But obviously not. Darnit. -grin-
