0. Thanks ever so much, Livejournal, for crashing right as I was posting this morning, or apparently as I was writing, because the "autosave" only got about half the post. Awesome.
1. Summer vacation is supposed to start today but instead I am at school. Technically it's supposed to be a teacher work day, but Pat said if we got our grades done by Friday we could skip out on it. Well, I got my grades done. And then Julie (our new principal) was around a bunch, and they decided they wanted to rearrange everything, even though we won't use our new setup for summer school, and then they we all, well we can move your stuff if you don't mind. And before I left on Friday I talked to Pat and she hemmed and hawed so now I'm here. And my grades are done. Sigh. The entire day is wasted.
2. "Hell's Kitchen" and "Top Chef" start this week. And "Next Food Network Star" started last night, and instead of the old way of making challenges that are related to a TV show, like making swapouts, they had to cater a wedding in 6 hours. I guess technically that's one of their shows, but while it makes for better TV it's not realistic. After the stupidness that was "Top Design" and the real-world challenge awesomeness that was "Shear Genius", I'm all sensitive to how useful challenges are. Because "your client has a photograph of a celebrity and you need to match the picture" is totally something you'd do in a salon, but "make a dish out of canned goods"? Not so much. It makes me more sympathetic towards "Hell's Kitchen." Kind of. Although, when I get money, I'm totally having a dinner party with seven courses and each one will represent one of the 7 deadly sins, because that is awesome.
3. Heather's quitting choir. Patrick called me right after rehearsal to tell me (but apparently there were rumors a month ago and you didn't tell me but you told Jenn?!?! WTF!!!). So the question is, how soon before I run back to choir? Patrick thinks I should go back in August when all the new people will show up. But Kate says that she starts school next month and she might be studying and stuff. And there's one newer girl (I forgot her name already) who is good, but she hasn't been around for a long time, and Maura who is good and knows what she's doing but is quiet. And I think that my two years of holding my part in the congregation have helped me.
