Hospital tiem.
Apparently brain surgery to heal a stroke can cause seizures. I rather wish I'd known that some time ago, but maybe I glossed over it. We were busy. So some scar tissue inside the surgery area can irritate the brain and cause seizures. Alrighty then.
This is setting back our schedule a lot. David could lose some or all of the strength that he's gained since coming home in Feb. We could find a whole new crop of physical and neurological problems popping up now. Also, our favorite caretaker is going unpaid.
The upside, of course, is that while I'm still busy with David-related business in the morning and afternoons, I seem to have evenings off for the moment. These are the closest I've had to a day off all year, and I'm damn well gonna fill them with catching up on my gaming, reading, and junk food.
Ice cream and Civilization 5. And Dragon Age. And Rogue Galaxy. And frozen pizza. And Chrono Trigger DS.
That's the shit, baby.
Is it selfish? Yeah. Am I gonna do it anyway? Already been. Am I gonna feel good about it? Ab-so-lutely. (Starcraft marine voice.)
