Milagro was just happy to be able to eat on her own again. A month without the use of them had driven her nearly insane, stuck at every other person in the tower's mercy. She had resisted the temptation to pile her tray full of every kind of food in the kitchen- her mothers stern 'never waste food' idea firmly embedded in her head- and it was a good thing too. Because when she saw Romeo, she dropped her tray.

Then she threw her arms around the little boy, and wrapped him in the biggest Milagro hug ever.

At the loud noise Romeo jumped and he flinched at the hug, but then he realised who it was and smiled brightly. "Miss Milagro! You're back to normal as well!" He wrapped his arms around her and hugged tightly glad that she was better.

[princesslantern]

"Of course I am! It's like I told you before, nothing beats me!" She let out the first laugh she's had in a while, and gave Romeo a good squeeze before she let him go. Then she clasped both hands on his shoulder and gave him a serious look.

"No one's going to hurt you again. I'll break anyone's nose if they mess with you."

Romeo hugged back tightly and grinned up at the older girl. It felt strange that adults were promising to protect him but really some of the adults here felt more like his friends then they did adults.

Romeo raised his fist to his heart and grinned, "I promise to look after you as well miss Milagro, no one will hurt you ever again!"

[princesslantern]

Determination. Willpower. Milagro's favorite emotion out of them all. She went ahead and sat down at the seat next to him, because she knew she could really like this kid. Not just because of what they had been through together, but because of his attitude.

"Alright! We're allies then!"

Romeo nodded and grinned widely, allies were good things to have! "We will make sure no one else gets hurt!" He told her with a smile and then pushed his plate of eggs towards her, because she had dropped her tray and it was always good to share. "Do you want some?"

[princesslantern]

"Of course we will. I'm a green lantern, and you're my ally now. It'll be our job to protect everyone here." She beamed, looking a little too proud of herself, and then her eyes quickly moved to look at the plate. Normally she wouldn't- but she's starving at that point, and she had dropped her plate.

"Yes. Please."

[spiritsup]

He nodded, he was glad that everyone could work together to protect each other. The bad people couldn't beat them if they kept fighting together. He smiled and handed her the knife and fork, "Help yourself!"

Milagro took the utensils from him and didn't even stop to worry about the fact that they were someone elses, as she dug into the eggs. Once she swallowed her mouthful, she flashes a grin at him.

"It feels the best to feed yourself again, doesn't it?"

Romeo grinned and nodded, "It does, I never thought before how much I use my hands!" He wriggled them, just to assure himself that he really still was back to normal.
