Taiki smiled and nodded to the woman who he passed in the corridoor, he wondered if she had been the one playing the music.

Marceline nodded and waved back, bass slung over her back. She had a mission to explore every corner of this place. She did have to wonder how the kid had ended up here though, but finding out how each world ended was a task for another day.

Taiki waved back with a smile noticing the instrument on her back, "Oh the music was you!" His eyes widened, "Sorry for being rude! But it was really pretty and I was wondering who was playing it."

'Pretty' was a rare word to describe her music, at least in her experience. Marceline had to look at this kid to make sure he was serious. And when it didn't look like he was kidding, she let a tiny smile spread across her face.

"Heh, thanks a lot, kid. Glad ya liked it." She decided to keep herself quiet about how her pride that someone here liked her playing was tinged with disappointment that it had just been her hallmates and not someone with some answers that had heard. The kid didn't need to know that.

Erik was wandering, as usual. He couldn't stay still in this place--inertia was something he abhorred in the best circumstances, and this was far from them.

Everything in this place set him on edge; the captivity, the lies being told to them by their 'patrons'. He was going to find a way out if he had to tear down the entire tower to do so.

Seeing the pale woman, he raised a slightly eyebrow, but gave away no other indication that he was curious.

The wandering man caught her eye, in a sort of curiosity- what was he looking for, did he know his way around here? It'd certainly save time if she knew what to avoid, but half the fun was in exploring.

Still, it wouldn't hurt to have the heads up. Completely missing the quirked brow, she waved. "Hey, man, you know your way around this messed-up place?"

"Relatively." Erik returned her question evenly. He didn't wave back, but he did stop walking, at least. "Been here a month, and this place has a habit of changing things around."

"Well, that makes this so much easier then." Marceline couldn't help but growl; what good would exploring do if things switched up? Where was this place and who got away with that kind of junk? She fought back an urge to just scream, though she couldn't quite compose herself enough to keep a hint of a snarl off her face. "Great. Just great. Does anything make sense in this funhouse?"

Now, in all her few days of being in this infernal prison, Rose was more glad to hear the sound of an instrument playing than anything else she had experienced. Perhaps even more glad than running into Spain or Canada, not that she'd ever admit to it. Whoever had put her here had provided her with something to listen to music with, but nothing to play it on and that drove her a bit mad, to be honest ( ... )

The girl matching her pace made Marceline stop. She knew she had been loud but she hadn't really counted on other residents commenting, except maybe to tell her to hush. The compliment pulled a happy smile from her; she always loved to hear things like that.

"Hey, it's cool. Glad you liked it, though I gotta say, I was hoping one of the bosses of this place would come say something. I wanted some answers." Even with the grin on her face, her tone was that of someone facing minor disappointment, and the irritation of being new and knowing nothing. "You been here long enough to know what would get their attention?"

It was hard to hear the bass playing from her room, considering that she was far away, but even if it was soft, she still heard it. Still, she had also decided that it was a day to explore with her pokemon. Granted, only her Pikachu was outside of her pokeball, but that didn't mean that the rest were less important.

Seeing Marceline, she smiled, noticing the instrument on her back. "Oh, were you the one that was playing yesterday?"

Marceline smiled back, slightly, and nodded. "Yep. Didn't quite get what I wanted but I got a new song out of the deal."

She focused her attention on the small yellow rodent-looking animal beside the girl, confused by what it was. Did mice even get that big? "Pretty cool looking pet there," she said, still trying to figure out just what it was.

"Oh?" She asks, raising an eyebrow. "What did you want to do?"

When Marceline mentions her Pikachu, she smiles, and Chu Chu gives a cheerful "pika!". "Thank you! She's my friend, Chu Chu. She's a Pikachu."

"Well, I wanted to get the attention of someone in charge, maybe get some answers," Marceline scowled as she crossed her arms over her chest. "But apparently they don't seem to care what the flip happens at late o'clock here."

The chirpy sound startled Marceline into the air- she hadn't expected it, but she settled back closer to the ground quickly. "Never heard of that kinda animal." She floated over for a closer look. 'Chu Chu' huh? "She's kinda cute though."
