Q. GYM activities. How is it like to look back at it?
A. We did many things. We got to appear in many music programmes. Golf&Mike weren't nervous at all on 'Hey!Hey!Hey!~' in front of the Downtown duo. ...come to think of it, I'd have been surprised if they were nervous instead. Because both of them have no idea who the Downtown duo are at all. It's because I'm Japanese that I know how great Hamada-san and Matsumoto-san are. Even though I was a little nervous, I wasn't that scared. I was really very nervous when I appeared by myself. So, having Golf&Mike with me gave me courage. I had Thai massage as part of the programme but it was super painful! But because I had already decided, 'Noooo way am I going to say it's painful!' so I didn't make a big deal out of it. Also during 'Utaban' it seems Golf&Mike enjoyed themselves when we did the science experiments. I think those who've watched that would know that I took on the challenge of 'walking on liquid'. I didn't think about the consequences and just said 'I want to do it!' What would it have been like if I failed? (laughs) My jeans and so on could have been dirtied. I'm really an 'aho' [Note: Idiot] (laughs)
Q. What Japanese food did you recommend to the two of them?
A. I treated Golf&Mike at the restaurant right at the top storey of the hotel. Together with my family and friends. At the creative japanese restaurants [Note: Something like fusion cuisines? Basically food is cooked in a new, creative way.], it seems they liked the pork kadoni [Note: meat cut into cubes and cooked], I think I did quite romantic things for them. Lately I'm into being romantic. The word romantic itself has a bit of a retro feel and it's cute isn't it? I want to be romantic until I die. (laughs) Things like being romantic and surprises, it's nice if it happens in our daily life from time to time.
Q. Foreign culture that influenced you?
A. Of course being with the two of them made me work harder for my English. Foreigners are able to convey their thoughts directly isn't it? Though I'm quite a direct person myself, there are also times when even I'd go 'Oh.' My consciousness to convey my own opinions to the other party grew stronger once again.
Q. So, what the level of Pi's English now?
A. Iya, I'm still very weak! I can finally convey my own opinions with great difficulties. But I think I've improved if you compare it to three months ago. I study English by just reading the book, listening to music... that's about it. But I am really interested in learning it everyday.
Q. If you're to have activities overseas, where and what kind of acitivities would you want it to be?
A. I just have to go to Thailand! I really feel this way thanks to Golf&Mike. The two of them are really nice kids. I think that's also reflected on screen? Mike well you can say he's innocent, and still a child. He'll suddenly just say and do whatever comes to mind. (laughs) Though he may not look it, he is just like Hikaru. It's interesting to just look at Mike. Golf is the elder brother afterall so he's really level-headed and calm.
Q. About Kitty
A. I was in the same high school and same year as Kitayama so we talked about our memories like 'What's that teacher doing now?' Kitayama seems to be very excited now. He's full of life and a happy aura is coming out of him. Inoo is really innocent and super cute. And when he is excited his voice betrays him, that is also cute. (laughs) Tottsu (Totsuka) is very funny. He is the 'burst out laughing' type, he's a little out of it, and that's the best, I feel that he is a very passionate person. Hikaru, I think he is the one with whom I'm the most friendly with. This guy is very cute. Touching my forehead and saying 'Yamapi, someone can skate here.' (laughs) Because Hikaru is always eating cup ramen, I teased him saying 'Hikaru, a curry one for me!', then he deliberately looked down at me and snorted. But because there wasn't any cocky air about him so I forgave him. Somehow I'm the type that gets nervous easily with the juniors. Someone like Hikaru is the kind that I've never encountered before. And, if I get nervous around this junior then perhaps the problem lies with me (laughs)? All the juniors are not scary people at all so it's ok to just talk to them more!
