Blossom End Rot

Jul 17, 2011 10:10

A disappointing first "harvest" of my tomatoes. As you can see, their ends have spots of rot on them. After a bit of searching online, I learned this is a condition called "blossom end rot," which is caused by a lack of calcium in the soil. I've added some calcium to the dirt in my containers, so hopefully that will prevent rot in future tomatoes.
