Crepes aren't all they're cracked up to be
Today at a restaurant I ate my first crepe. The crepe itself was like a paper thin pancake folded into a pinwheel shape and it had an odd, sweet taste to it. It was wrapped around scrambled eggs and cheese. I liked the food inside, but was put off by the taste of the crepe. All those years thinking crepes were this exotic fancy food that must taste divine, only to be disappointed by the reality. Because I was with someone who'd recommended the restaurant, I lied a little and said that my food was very good. It's dumb to lie about something like that.
