Jeyran's commission! This was a Christmas gift for her aunt :3
Ok, so this was my first ever scenic commission, meaning it's the first time I had to deal with proper perspective, ratio and colors. It was my first acrylic on canvas commission too, and it was not small >.> The canvas was stretched cotton over a wooden frame and about A3 in size. Took me 11 hours.
One other thing. This is a really crappy photo, and a lot of the subtle hue changes were not picked up. Neither were the little details of the grass that give the scene movement. Let's just say that it looks a lot better in real life.
No references, and the horses were a NIGHTMARE OMG. So much hate for those horses...I think I spent 4 of the 11 hours on them alone >.>
Horses from hell:
Oh and, feedback was very positive. I'm really glad Jeyran's aunt liked it <3
I'm dreaming of one day painting something HUGE. I actually already own a mega blank canvas, one that would make a great centerpiece in a room once painted. It'll take me a while to work up the courage to get started on it though. Acrylic can be such a bitch.
