According to an announcement on the D&D webpage, Robert Jordan has passed away. While I never finished his series cus it just went on and on, I did have a lot of fun with those books I did get through. His memory will live on in Wheel of Time and Conan fandom, which isn't all that bad as a way to be remembered I think.
