K keeps nudging me about posting, so I guess I will. Never mind the fact that I don't have anything much to say. The house thing, obviously, is taking up most of our time, but K has covered that. I'm having some high quality back pains from the move, but that is neither interesting nor surprising, so I don't think I'll mention that. I also won't ( Read more... )

I guess you know you're a redneck if you're drunk before 5pm. hahaha Yay for a new car!

Yep. Well, would have been, anyway. I really need to find a way for someone to destructify that car without me (or anyone else) being in it, so I could get the insurance money, at least. It has 200,000 miles on it, and I'm more than a little concerned about how much longer it will stay functional.

Man, I was going to ask who the hell Jeff Foxworthy was - see how hard I am to impress?

Actually, as I'm about to become a Swedish citizen, I'd love to hear more about you finding new and not-so-exciting routes to work every morning, timing them and comparing to see which one is quicker.

He's a comedian. On TV a lot lately here. You may have heard the "you might be a redneck" jokes. That's be him.

I'm somewhat failing to find the connection between becoming a Swedish citizen and the timing of routes, however?

Well, I'll be Swedish in two weeks and felt that I need some more anal-retentive organisational traits like timing and comparing routes in my repetoire. Australians tend to take the route they can remember best after a hangover.

I knew it wasn't true right away -- Jeff Foxworthy doesn't HAVE extra money to throw around anymore. I mean, "you might be a redneck if..." is *so* 1994.

I take it you don't watch Comedy Central?
You can't have it on for three minutes without him popping up. The "blue collar comedy" tour and now a weekly show.
Originally I claimed it was Bob Dylan, but that just wouldn't happen, which is how it became Jeff.
