Owl to Parvati

Parvati,

You're quite right about people's tendencies to make assumptions, so I will try not to make them about you if you will do the same for me. It might be bloody hard, though.

I can't say that I know Ivy very well myself, though of course I've said hello to her in the Common Room and that sort of thing. In fact, I'm rather puzzled as to why she volunteered to be mentored; I sort of thought that this program was more for first and second years than fourth years. And she's doing fine in her classes as far as I know. She's very pretty, and a little on the loud side, I think. She always seems to be in the middle of a group when I see her in the common room. Although, come to think of it, she's not been around much lately. And she seems much quieter. Maybe something is bothering her, and that's why she requested mentoring?

I think she comes from an old Wizarding family; I remember hearing her talk about her lineage once. She seemed too bloody very proud of it. She has a cousin in Slytherin--someone in one of the younger years, I can't remember his name.

That's all I can think of at the moment, but then my brain is rather tired from revising.

Maybe we could meet outdoors by the greenhouses; I know a nice little spot where there are benches, and the flowers have started blooming, so it should be quite nice.

Would Wednesday evening be good for you? I'll bring tea if you'll bring biscuits.

This should be quite interesting.

Sincerely,

Eloise
