Zacharias,
Sorry I've been scarce lately--I've been holed up in the library revising, and trying to learn the bloody Protean charm for my project. I'm not quite as good at Charms as Hermione Granger, but I'm really quite good. So there's no real reason why I shouldn't be able to learn it, but I keep having trouble with the linkage between objects. Sigh.
Don't you think you're being a little
extreme? To threaten to stop working with him just because he sent you a fern?! I suspect that you're just relieving your feelings by ranting (an area in which I have no room to talk, since I do it all the time myself!) and you won't really do it...besides, I don't think the professors would let you anyway. I'm sorry you didn't get much work done though. :( It seems odd that Potter would be so distractable; he's always seemed like a rather focused sort to me, although I can see him being better with hands-on stuff than research.
Sorry you had a frustrating holiday. It could have been worse though--I distinctly remember Tori asking what that 'incredibly fanciable Zacharias guy' from my year was up to. Guess that answers your question. ;) And excuse me for wondering about your level of familiarity with Muggle culture--it's not like we talk about this stuff all the time, just lately (not that I mind--I enjoy it)--and some half-bloods are funny about it (funny-weird, not funny-haha).
How's the fern doing by the way? Is it still alive? I didn't see it down in the common room, so I assumed that you decided to keep it.
And I really am sorry I forgot about the sweets thing--at least you had something to send back to Potter. ;) And I'm sure Justin and Wayne enjoyed the rest. Speaking of Justin, don't worry--fond as I am of him, I wouldn't want to give him any more ammunition for his Potter fixation, as I find it quite puzzling.
What on earth did you say to
Hannah? I think I heard her muttering your name in an uncomplimentary fashion earlier.
talk to you later,
Eloise
