882: Off I go

Jul 02, 2007 15:05

Off I go on the first holiday I've been on in about two or three years. Well, I guess actually I could consider the entire last year and a half a holiday? Nah, I'll stick with my guns: I've been working! So, in other words: I won't be around, until next Monday - shock horror! Something Chewie readers, never fear - I've pre-posted a track each and every day that I'll be away.

My train from Chesterfield leaves this evening, and involves me taking four different trains along the way - Chesterfield, Derby, Birmingham New St, Bristol Temple Meads, where after 3 hours, I'll hang about for another hour or so for mischa_craven to arrive, and then finally on to Bath Spa. Oh, and it gets better, folks! :-P From Bath, we'll be travelling to London Paddington, which promises to be a nightmare, then a tube to Liverpool Street, and then finally on a train to Southend. Oh, and it gets even better! Because I was looking for the cheapest tickets around, we chose not to go to Southend Central, and instead Southend Victoria, which is nearer to my old house, but... like a mile or so from where we're heading. Never fear, I'm sure we can make it! I should have bought Uno! :-p I've packed an umbrella. Is that me being rather pessimistic? Well, I do have one pair of shorts. Maybe, just maybe, I'll get a chance to wear them. Who knows if we'll be so lucky? I've squashed all of my stuff into my blue holdall, obviously there's not thaaat much stuff. I've been organised and made a checklist. I'll probably still miss something!

I'm feeling rather peckish - I might go and grab some cereal. Because cereal in the afternoon is decidedly awesome. I decided! I never played any Kuri Kuri except the first level, aforementioned, which was hard. Someone will have to help me - I presume it's easier with 2-4 players than the one.

I signed the petition to Number 10 to pull back the ban of Manhunt 2 - I will never play it, I think it looks like a horribly gory and scary game - but that's the point entirely. If you're a legal age required for it, 18 - i.e. supposedly an adult, then you should be able to make a decision on whether you want to play it or not. And not be told by the bigwigs that you're not allowed to. The real problem here isn't the game - its the game stores for not abiding the rental scheme. Maybe it needs to be stricter? Maybe it just needs to be enforced with more strength. But we certainly don't need censorship of even video games.

Right - I said cereal didn't I? LETS GET SOME!

Bye bye for now, have a good weekend, and wormlover have a grand ol' Birthday!!
