I understand this sentiment completely.I live in a desert and it freaking snowed this year, everyone freaked out and stayed indoors for a week.

I had an identical problem last month - had to stay at my friend's for 5 days because I was unable to get home from work. It's like snow is dicking with us on purpose.
Stay safe and warm!

I know how you feel- it hasn't snowed badly in Scotland for years, and then suddenly, in December and January, it snows badly, you would think that we'd be used to the bad weather by now- it's Scotland, for fuck's sake, the last time anyone got a tan was in a salon- but nope, all the roads are blocked, bread and milk trucks stuck, complete chaos. It could have got a lot worse- hell, it still might- but seeing as we live up on the very tippity top of the country in the Highlands, we're the farthest away from the big cities. We'd die pretty quickly if all routes were cut off by the weather.

On the other hand, seeing as I turned eighteen a month ago, I bought a bottle of wine the other day. It didn't taste very good, but alcohol is alcohol, and it's all nice and legal now.

Hope your work situation improves soon, darling- and that the new year is a good one! Hogmanay was rather boring this year, but I drunk some vodka and Iron Brew and it tasted fantastic.

I went to ASDA on the second day and there was no bread (just a one, lonely roll ;_;) and they put up signs saying that each customer can only buy two loaves. Same thing at TESCO but there you could but THREE loaves.
