Excellent! We must have more riotous cleavage-touting outings.

. . . or maybe just dinner. :)

YES! We have recently discovered that Sushi Maru is even better than Sushi Sake. You won't believe it! Of course you've been in CA for a while now . . . are your taste buds corrupted by superior raw fish by now?

No, they aren't corrupted yet. No one will go eat sushi out here with me and it's too expensive to go by myself! I've been going to Ranch 99 down the street and buying fresh fish though, which has been super tasty... mmm...

ok, maybe the dog-turd-on-the-windshield idea wasn't so bad after all. at least for those recruiters.

If you can do that, you are definitely hunting for the wrong kinds of jobs. You could be making a FORTUNE.

This is one of the things I'm working very hard to solve in the temping industry. I'm so sorry it happened to you; especially the "don't say goodbye, just leave" thing. Fuckers.

As I commented to Pace when I read her first entry about Cloud Nine, too bad y'all aren't staffing out here because we could so badly use a staffing agency that actually cares about its candidates. I also commented that I was lucky I had such a good staffing agency on my side, but as it turns out, they didn't care about the candidate in the end, either. What pisses me off is that I called and complained as soon as problems started happening, and I even told them Tuesday I knew this wouldn't be a good fit.

It just shocks me that if someone who's done good work in the past is complaining and having problems at an assignment, perhaps it isn't that person's fault, but a symptom of bad placement with a terrible job description. Especially considering I'm the third person they've placed in this position in the last two months. Le sigh, le mew.

Also, thank you for your comment, it means a lot to know someone is out there doing something about this.

Would you like to copy-and-paste your entry as a submission to Temp Hell? It's exactly the sort of story we want to share with people, to let them know how fucked up things are now and that we're trying to fix them.

Ooh, yes yes yes! I'll definitely do that. It might not be for a few days until I get back to California so I can hodge-podge my entries together to make a cohesive story.

Did I mention yet that they're paying me for my last day in the form of a Target gift card? Oh hell yeah. That's some class for you right there.
