What a nice mellow, but productive evening
Work was work today. Not bad, but nothing special either. The department at my job process' pension plans for the Federal Government. To be real honest it can get pretty boring, but I do get to listen to music all day which is really nice. It is also steady employment and it does pays my bills so I shouldn't bitch to much.
I get home and discover that the show my band was suppose to play on Friday night has been bagged on our end. We were suppose to fill in at the last minute for a band that canceled. There was some confusion on the bookers end it turns out they didn't need us after all. This was just after our bass player Pat had gotten a quick flier made and put up in a few places in good ole Westport. Better him then me. I'm a little bummed because I live for playing, but at the same time a weekend off will be nice. We have played the last three weekends in a row.
The rest of my evening was spent watch the KC Royals beat NY Yankees in a pretty wild game and also watching WWE Raw. The baseball game was the more exciting of the two. While doing that I sat down and did some major reorganization on my CD collection. I have come to the conclusion that I have a pretty damn big and eclectic collection. I'm up to 408 actual CD's and 138 CDR's. Some year when I get them all cataloged (a project I started about 4 months ago and one I have been slacking on big time for about 3 of those months) I'll be willing to share them with everyone.
Well off to bed now. I need sleep big time as I have a big day to celebrate. Tomorrow I continue my downward spiral to becoming an old man.
