The strangest thing happened to me last night/this morning. I had a dream! Or perhaps I should be more exact and explain that I remembered having a dream. Normally when I go to bed, I close my eyes, fall asleep, hear my alarm, get out of bed. I never remember what happens while I sleep. Well, almost never, it happens every once in a while. Dreams can be very interesting sometimes. I have dreams almost every night, some of them are really frightening nightmares and they feel so real.. Maybe once a month I wake up after a horrible dream and it haunts me for a day or two. I can remember most of my dreams in the morning but I rarely write them down.

When I was smaller I walked around our house in the night and once I was going out when my mom stopped me. Sleepwalking isn´t that fun when you bounce in to a door or something. :D

Then I had sleep paralysis when I was 10-15 years old.. I found out just a little time ago what it was really about.. http://www.stanford.edu/~dement/paralysis.html (I haven´t read that page yet, just tried to find some link.)
I was scared to go to sleep at nights. Typically it happened that I felt I couldn´t move, totally awake and curtains were kind of bubbling and twisting. Then there was this really pressuring cold feeling in the room and few times I saw a vision of a man(?) in my bedroom window - only his shadow but I felt it was a man. He came closer and I couldn´t still move, my pulse was very high and it was horrifying. Then suddenly all went off and I was on a cold sweat and really really scared.
I never told anyone about these things, only my boyfriend knew because it sounds so crazy.. I hadn´t heard about sleep paralysis before and I hope I don´t have to experience it ever again.

I almost forgot the sound.. It was continuing, hard to describe. Maybe like a water hitting a shore but more metallic. When I laid in my bed I first heard the sound and after that all the other horror happened.

That's freaky! I've never heard of sleep paralysis before, but it certainly doesn't sound like much fun. I rolled out of my bed several times when I was younger, but that was about the extent of my sleep troubles. I usually get pretty restful sleeps, but occasionally I'll dream or wake up to go to the bathroom.
