Obakemono #33/36 - Aliens

Mar 16, 2010 21:31

Thank goodness I live in New Mexico. If I'd had to wait for an alien landing (to photograph) in any other state, I might not have made deadline.

I've got text on eight critters, though for some reason I can't find a couple of my early editions (Mothman and Marfa Lights, more's the pity) so I could only screen the one copy of each I keep in my reference folio.

Exactly one month until opening, less than a month until orals, even less than that to turn in my written thesis...

...and I just got word that there's a mid-semester online class starting (Intro to Women's Studies) that I'm also expected to TA on, in addition to the other three WS classes I TA. GRAAAH.

Sunday I went with some friends from my knitting group to Silver City (for the yarn shop, since our local one closed about a month back) and then Truth or Consequences (for the natural hot springs). It was a lot of fun, and I'm grateful I was able to go, as that's probably going to be the extent of my relaxation for a while.

thesis, obakemono, art, yokaigaku, screenprinting
