requested update

So I was told that I should update more often and that since I have a human growing inside of me that I should have lots to talk about, but truth be told I still don't feel I have much to say. Even my doctor said that my pregnancy is normal and boring. Believe me I am not complaining I'm happy that there isn't anything crazy going on, I just want this process to be as smooth as possible and for all involved to be safe. The only real pregnancy symptoms I have right now are heartburn and feeling the baby move. Feeling the baby move is not they way I expected at all. It feels like muscle spasms, or sometimes it feels like one section of my abdomen gets really tight, I really can't identify what the baby is doing based on feel.

I have started my childbirth classes. Not sure if they are worthwhile or not. I am learning some stuff which I'm glad to know, so I guess that means that the class is worthwhile, but I'm not very good at pretending to be in pain, so I don't know as the excercises are doing anything and all of the videos are convincing me that I am not going to be able to handle this. Everyone in the videos says that they couldn't take it anymore and that they wanted to give up and these are the people that they chose for the video I have no chance of pushing all the way through but any kind of medical intervention frightens me more than the labor does (giant needle in my spine or cutting open my abdomen) so I really feel I'll be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

The last thing going on is that we are slowly trying to get everything ready for the baby's arrival, but we still have a long way to go. We have hung the mini-blinds and assembled the crib, the rocker and most of the dresser (missing a piece to make the last drawer), but we still need to buy a mattress, hang the border and figure out all of the little things that we still need. Between the uneventfulness of my pregnancy, the fear of delivery, and the fact that I have so much work to do around the house I think I'm going to be one of the rare individuals who is perfectly content with deliverying late and not at all being anxious to get the baby out. Don't get my wrong I'm excited to see her and see what she will be like, but I can handle waiting an extra week or two.
