How the hell did I miss this??
As I've probably mentioned before, I work for a university, but not actually on campus. Our department is at a separate location, so I don't really have much interaction with the typical campus atmosphere/students/faculty, etc. But we aren't completely independent from the university, and (at least) once a day someone from our office has to drive over to the campus to drop stuff off, pick stuff up, etc. So today it was me, and while I was there I noticed the student newspaper with the headline "Spider Pig visits Charlotte." Intrigued, I pick up a copy and find out that Mike Reiss, a producer/writer for the The Simpsons was on campus to speak before a showing of The Simpsons Movie. D'oh! I totally would have gone to that. *kicks self for not paying more attention to the campus event calendar*
Last night we watched the season finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Special guest appearance by Michael McKean...yay! I'm surprised more of the folks from the Guest ensemble haven't turned up on Curb, seeing as how it uses a lot of improv, and they are all great with that. We loved the ending. All season I was under the assumption it was the last season, but now I'm hearing it will be back. Larry David's been sort of vague about it, but there is something posted on Wikipedia about there being 20 more episodes.
That cold is still hanging on. I came to work yesterday, but went home at 2. I tried to sleep, but my nose was so stuffed up I could only get comfortable for about an hour. I owe Frank a box of Advil Cold & Sinus...I have been taking all of his. I will have to go buy some more, which sucks because since it has pseudoephedrine in it, they have to keep it behind the counter and you have to show ID and sign something, and all that. Stupid meth labs....ruin it for everyone.
