Friday!

Yay, it's finally Friday. This has been a busy week. Most evenings when I'm home I am working on Pride stuff- adding people to the MySpace, sending our e-mails, whatever. Tuesday night I went to the Sting game. I was tired, and had an all-day headache, but went anyway just to get some fliers handed out. Once I got there I felt a lot better and had a good time. Last night we had our regular weekly meeting, but ended early to go over to the fundraiser show at The Perch, a sketch comedy/improv place. It was pouring rain when it was time to go, and the parking lot was a little flooded. I had to get out of my car and walk through about 3 inches of water to get into the place. The show was pretty funny. There wasn't a huge crowd, but that might have had something to do with the storm. It started up around 6:30 and lasted a few hours, which means a lot of people might have ended up not coming because they didn't want to go out in it.

I don't have anything planned for tonight, so I will probably go home and veg. Tomorrow there's another Sting game (again with the fliers!), and I am probably going to be helping out at Cover +1, another Pride fundraiser. We will be encouraging people to donate an additional dollar or more to Pride when they pay their cover at several of the gay bars around town. I think I'll be outside The Charlotte Eagle from about 9 to about 1 AM, with Darryl, another one of the task force members. I wanted to help, but didn't want to go somewhere by myself. I'm not really familiar with most of these clubs. The only one that's participating that I've been to is Velocity, and that one was covered with volunteers.

My car is back at the Autocare place AGAIN. THey ordered the parts and I took it in on Wednesday, but then they realized one of them was wrong. So they had to re-order the part and I brought the car back. I am so sick of dealing with this. The next thing that goes wrong with my car I want to just get a new one. Well, not a "new" new car, but a recent used one, like a 2005. I'm thinking a Honda or Toyota. The Toyota Matrix looks cool... Hopefully I will get a few more months out of my car with no problems and not have to worry about it for awhile.
