Fall is on its way!

Fall is coming. Right now we're at that phase where it's cool in the mornings and evenings, but can still get up to 90 in mid-day. I'm back to wearing long pants (instead of capris) to work for the first time since May.

I'm going to visit my parents in Florida in a few weeks. They've been wanting me to come down for awhile, but I hate going to FL in the summer. Then the Syracuse football schedule came out and I saw they would be playing U. of South Florida at Tampa in October, so even though my parents aren't particularly into football (nor am I, really), and the Syracuse football team isn't that great these days, it still might be fun to go to a game. I ordered our tickets through the Syracuse, so we'll be in the SU section. And sometimes at away games, there's a pre-game party or gathering for the SU fans, so hopefully they're doing that, and we can go check that out.

Also while I'm down there, we're going to see a concert- REO Speedwagon and Eddie Money. This has definitely been the year of concerts for me. I'm also going to Tom Petty and ZZ Top this Sunday night. Frank got the tickets for free- yay! Big Head Todd & the Monsters are playing here Friday night, which I sort of want to go to, but sort of don't. Frank drives out on Friday, and he never really knows when he'll be leaving, so he might get here in time for the show, but might not. It's at the Fillmore, and it's General Admission. I'm sure it won't be sold out, so I guess if it turns out we can go, we can probably just get tickets at the door. I have seen them before, but the last time was probably about 8 years ago.

And I'm going to see a band called Great Big Sea later this month! I had never heard of them, but chavah is really into them, and asked if I wanted to go. I've been listening to their music, sort of modern Celtic. It sounds like it will be a fun show, plus it's at at the McGlohon theater, one of my favorite venues, and, added bonus- site of Frank & my first date almost 4 years ago!
