5 Year Anniversary for an LJ Slacker
Yes, I know I know...it's been for-freakin'-ever since I've written in here. But I do still lurk and read occasionally. I was doing that just now, and all of a sudden thought...isn't it about the time of year for my LJ anniversary? So I pull up my archive and see it was actually yesterday. So considering how slack I've been for the last 5 months on here, I think only missing it by one day is pretty damn good.
Anyway...a lot has changed since my last entry (March 2, to be exact). For awhile I just wasn't feeling like writing in here. And then when I did sort of feel like it, I got overwhelmed at trying to summarize all the stuff from during the time I wasn't updating. So, I just didn't bother at all. And now I'm so incredibly behind, and my Live Journal is incomplete and abandoned.
I don't want to back-track too much, but I probably will add some entries later about some of the things that have happened in the last few months, while concurrently trying to stay up-to-date on that's going on now. But, just to fill in the absolute basics for people who aren't also friends on Facebook, or have just forgotten I existed:
-Frank & I broke up in late April. He moved out. He took 2 of the cats (Oliver & Captain Crunch), and left Sandy with me
-In June I went on my trip to CT/MA as planned. I visited friends & family in CT, went to the Red Sox games with a friend-of-a-friend, and then went to my HS reunion. It was a fun trip, but I was glad to get home by the end of the week.
-Have gone to several concerts this summer- Phish, Counting Crows, Dave Matthews Band, and still have tickets to a few more- Bare Naked Ladies, Goo Goo Dolls, plus I just saw Big Head Todd & the Monsters is coming in September. I LOVE the 90's- can you tell? :-)
-Got a new kitten- he's black, and I named him Benji. He's very cute, and he and Sandy are starting to get used to each other.
-Have been dating a ton, but so far not met anyone particularly awesome
I know...very brief, somewhat vague, and a lot to put into a few bullet points. But if anyone is still reading this (I know I'm not the only person caught up in the great migration from LJ to FB as primary site for socializing and communicating), and there's anything specific you want to know more about, feel free to comment. Maybe I could do some additional entries where I go into more detail. This entry was basically just to kick-start myself back into the LJ habit.
