I heard on the news that it was 80 degrees outside. I never made it out. I'm not sick anymore, I could have done stuff. I just didn't feel like it. So it was just another day of nothingness and self-isolation. I had originally intended to go grocery shopping during the day and out to see a band in the evening, but I ended up doing neither. The shopping got pushed back another day to tomorrow, since there is still cat food and I can survive on yogurt, microwave popcorn, and Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper (that has to be the longest soda name ever). This is the second Saturday night in a row I've spent watching a romantic comedy on HBO. Tonight's feature, Fever Pitch was more enjoyable than last week's, The Wedding Date. I liked Fever Pitch because it brought back memories of the Red Sox winning the World Series in 2004 (I live in NC but I'm a New Englander at heart). Then afterwards I watched a fairly amusing comedy special with Robert Wuhl talking about history.
This is NCAA Final Four weekend. Of course my heart went out of it the very first night of the thing, and then last weekend my brackets completely fell apart, so at this point my interest is in the little-to-none range. Tonight were the 2 semi-final games, which I didn't watch, but they were both pretty much blow-outs. Too bad that the two games leading up to the championship ended up being two of the most anti-climactic games of the tourney. Well, uh...go Gators, I guess.
Today was April Fools Day. I didn't play any pranks, nor were any played on me (perhaps if I'd left the house?). There were a few on-line ones I came across, like the stupid thing with pirates here on LJ, and, as tradition,
a funny one on Google.
