The Seemingly Never-Ending Story

Good News! The Simpsons has been renewed for two more years, which will bring it to a total 19 seasons...and counting. King of the Hill was also renewed, which surprised me. I still watch it, but I didn't know anyone else still does. Lost is a new episode. The previews showed Sun asking Sawyer if he has a pregnancy test in his stash. Why does everyone have to get pregnant...damn. Well, if she is pregnant, maybe the baby is Michael's, that would make it a little more interesting. Next week on Scrubs Carla is going to be pregnant. Abby on ER. Can't writers be more creative? If one of the chicks on the The Office gets knocked up I'm throwing the TV out the window. Well, maybe not if it's Angela, because the thought of her and Dwight breeding is somewhat amusing.

I woke up this morning feeling kinda "bleehhhh." Yeah, I know, who doesn't feel that way when they wake up. I went to work, but I still felt crappy, so I came home at noon. I've got one of those burning sore throat things that could either get really bad by tomorrow, or go away completely. It's also that kind of sore throat that makes you have a stomach ache.

Last night was the GLBT Book Club at Joseph-Beth books (same place I go for skirt! book club), which I just found out about. The book was Almost Like Being in Love by Steve Kluger, which I had bought the last time I was there. It's a pretty fun book, a lot of it's written in forms of lists, e-mails, memos, etc. So I get there and there's John, the guy who works at the bookstore, who organizes the book club, and one other guy. And the guy didn't even read the book. So we ended up not really talking about it. We talked about other books and things we'd read and wanted to read and that sort of thing. On the plus side, I got to help pick the book for next month. It's going to be Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris, which is one of those "I've always meant to read but never got around to it" books. I also suggested Running with Scissors to schedule in conjunction with the movie release, which will be September of this year.
