Snow? Yes. Work? Delayed. President? Obama!

So we do have some snow...it looks really pretty outside, and still snowing just a little bit. Frank went to work at the normal time (although now I reading they had a 3-hour delay, but I think that was announced after he left), and I have a 2-hour delay. Well, since I normally go in at 8:30, it's more like an hour-and-half delay. Of course I'm already up and showered and dressed, so I can just have a nice leisurely morning, brush off my car and go.

I am slightly disappointed that I won't be home watching the inauguration. I guess I can try to watch it on-line if the phones aren't ringing. And I know it will be available on-line later, or replayed, or I can DVR it and watch it tonight, but it would have been cool to watch it as it happens.

Time to have breakfast and try to get in touch with Frank to make sure he got to work okay. He's probably mad about the 3-hour delay, because he works too far away to come home and go back.

UPDATE!: Around 9:15, I was sitting here thinking "well, time to go downstairs and make my lunch and get ready to go," when I read a university staff member's update on Twitter that the delay had turned to a closing. So, I will get to stay home and watch the inauguration after all! I'll just deal with all the work crap tomorrow. And Frank is on his way home.
