#500- Congrats Manny!
Manny Ramirez hit his 500th Home Run tonight! And I totally wasn't paying attention to tonight's game. It wasn't on TV here, but I wasn't even following the Yahoo live box score or the Twittercast or anything. I found out after the game when I went to look up the score. Gah! Earlier tonight Frank & I were eating dinner at Applebee's and he said something about it would have been a good night to go to Beantown Tavern, and yeah, it definitely would have!
Saw Sex and the City today. It was good, pretty much what we were expecting, meaning basically a super-long SATC episode on the big screen. I know a lot of people haven't liked throwing Jennifer Hudson in as Carrie's assistant, but I liked her, well, because I like her, but she also added something different that wasn't just an extension of the series.
After the movie (we went to the 10:15 AM showing, which was surprisingly well-attended) we went to lunch at Barbecue King, which we happened to catch last night on a re-run of Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." It's right here in Charlotte, and I somehow never knew about it. After a yummy lunch of BBQ sandwiches and hush puppies, we made a few more stops and came home. I took a nap and then Frank bought the "TV Show King" game for the Wii, so I've been playing that. It's pretty fun. The questions range from easy to challenging, but the ones that always get me are about European sports. How the hell do I know who won the cricket world championships in 1996?
