I had something really freaky happen last night. 
I was with my running group, doing the usual 5 mile loop along the beach/park area. I was running with two Boston qualifiers (!!!) who were “taking it easy” but still clocking at least 8:30 splits, so I knew I didn’t want to stick with them the entire time, because I would make myself stay with them ( Read more... )

 There's no better time or place for all caps.  If I was in person, I definitely would be screaming this:

I RAN 5.5 MILES YESTERDAY!!! RAN!  ME!  I RAN!  YEEEEEEEEAH!

I took it really slow, and changed my stride so that I wasn't pushing off with my toes.  It's a temporary solution to aggravating my Achilles; I"ll have to figure out something better ( Read more... )
