Beat rolls on
First day of classes was yesterday. I am taking 3 history course (Africa, Modern Western, Women in America) and one Urban Sociology course. Overall I am pretty excited about the classes despite the insane reading load.
Urban Sociology is going to be interesting because half the class is students that commute from the suburbs and the other half sound like they have never left the city. I think it has been very beneficial to have lived in both Chicago and the suburbs, especially when hearing the mass confusion about both. Many people that live in Chicago have this weird fairy-tale idea about the suburbs being these rich gated communities, which is rarely true and the students from the suburbs have irrational fears about the city.
Elephant Gun is recording a new album with Mr. Gac the 23rd-25th of this month. It's going to be a weird one.
Other than that I will hopefully have a new job soon...
