Ah what to say.
Disappointed in Australia about the election. Reminded that I live in and love a country which has lost its sense of value, its concern for social justice and its interest in the welfare of others. Apparently its a country where something like 60% will believe anything television tells them, even though what they should see is a completely blatant waste of money that could be used fixing a myriad of services, infrastructure and the environment.
So its my end of year resolution to either rejoin the party I quit or join a more extreme one and campaign however much I can between now and the next election. Although perhaps getting Peter Costello as PM will convince enough people without any help.
I also have some kind of illness. My kidneys are causing me a lot of pain. A LOT. But I'll go back to the Doctor if it doesn't start to improve.
Went to the Motorshow today despite the pain and enjoyed looking at the hybrid cars and concept cars. Toyota seem to be the only company investigating alternatives to oil but you know. These things happen. Ultimately I'd like one of their Fine-N (i think) or Prius. But so expensive! Then again I have a while to save.
Couldn't go out with Steph on Sat night. Sorry! The pain is heaps worse at night and last night I couldn't really even walk.
Thats all. Tomorrow off work for a vari.
