I took this recipe from the current Penzey's catalogue. First, it's labelled as "apple bread". I read through the recipe and noticed no yeast. It ain't bread, it's an oil cake. Second, the recipe calls for baking *soda*. The only source of acid is the apples, so my gut instinct is that's incorrect and you should add baking *powder*. A properly ripe ( Read more... )
