I just wanted to post a quick update on the whole house thing. The bulk of the moving is officaly done, Mom and Joe have been living at the rental since Friday night. We can't get the internet hooked up there 'til Thrusday afternoon, so until then, I'm gunna stay here. The house is oddly empty, but god I love it! ::LOL:: I really do like living alone. Wish I was healthy enough to have done this sooner, family is nice, but I really do like not having to worry about noise or hours I keep, or bumping into people, or eatting something someone was saving, or someone eatting something I was saving, only doing dishes that I dirty up myself... ::happy sigh:: I'm sure once I'm officaly and actualy living alone, I'll probably get reall lonely and sad, but right now, it's wonderful. ::LOL::
In truth, though, I'm only alone late at night. The house is pretty full day round, and starting tomorrow, Joe'll be off for the entire month of August, just like Mom now is, so the house'll be even more full daily.
The house is pretty odd looking right now. Last night and today they tore out the entire front wall on the ground floor, leaving the entire garage open. The new garage doors'll go up tomorrow I think, as will my front door (the old front door, Mom got a new one for upstairs).
I'll be re-paitning the door tonight, actualy, or start to do so. I got the paint for my room yesterday (thanks to Joan who went with me and helped me pick out colors), but I forgot to get primer, and I didn't get anything to do the door yet. I was suposed to hit Home Depot after my appointment today, but I ran out of energy, so I'll have to go back out in a bit to get supplies. Turns out, Mom painted the metal door with latex paint. ::facepalm:: Which...yah, big no-no. So now I gotta get a speical kind of stripper and hope the door isn't too damadged, and then prime and do another speical kind of paint to re-color it and so forth. Lots of extra steps, but they gotta be done. The door is curently bright, fireengin red (don't ask me why, I have no fucking clue), and I'll be re-painting it into a soft cream color simaler to what I'm painting my appartment.
I don't really have a lot else to update you on, so instead I'll bring you pics of cute little animals!
AWWWW! Just try to tell me those aren't the cutest little baby birds you've ever seen! They're in a nest directly above our front door at the rental. They're pretty close to fleding, so not sure how much longer they'll be around. They're only in the nest at night now, so I'm not sure where they are durring the day, but every night they're back and their parents are still feeding them. ::shrugs::
I believe they're swollows, both because of the size and coloring, but also becasue there are more swollows around that property then I think I've ever seen at one time and place before in my life! G&M&JJ have named them Ennie, Meenie, and Miney (sorry, no Moe this season). I can't get over how cute they are! And really calm, too, they'll just sit there and watch us, never makeing a sound. Just curious as to why we're stairing right back at them. ::LOL!::
Okay, I gotta get back to work. Today Mom and Marry scraped all the spit wad cealings off, so there's gritty dust everywhere. I have to mop at least three times tonight (possibly four or five) to get all the dust up before the grit scrapes the hell out of the floor. I wish I had a mask handy for this, though. We found out just before all this started that the spitwads are acutaly made with aspostis. ::sighs:: I know Marry took precautions on takeing it down, but there's still all this dust everywhere. I can garontee you that everyone else wore masks when they were taking it down.
Anyhow, I'd better get to it. Hope everyone else is doing well!
