Basically as the title implies, my roommate and I are looking to move on in to Toronto come the summer/early fall. We don't have a huge budget but we're willing to split three ways if people are looking for two roomies if necessary. Generally, we're just looking for some resources on what's a good place to look for a decent sized and decent priced ( Read more... )

Not sure if you mean you are looking for websites on where to find apartments- but www.viewit.ca and craigslist are the best places to look. You might want to find a three bedroom with your roomie and then post yourself about looking for a new roommate, as it can be hard to find a place the other way around. Also, while you might find some apartments listed 60 days before you move, a lot of apartments aren't posted until 30 days before moving date- so you are looking way too early. Unless of course you want to scope out buildings you like, and then know that the apartments themselves won't be available to rent until 60 days before your moving date. Last, you might want to be specific in what you mean by downtown-- "downtown" can mean different things to different people. You might want to give the N, W, S, E boundaries to the area you're willing to live and also what your budget is as "decent priced" can also vary a lot. Hope this is helpful!

Hello, and thank you for your response. Yes, it was quite helpful. Things are up in the air right now but we're intending to head down every chance we get, scope out the area's and jobs and so on and so forth.

We were thinking, preferably, china town area, but really we're not confined to it. Any place that's decent and close to public transportation in the downtown area would suffice. As it is now, between the two of us we'd like to go no higher than $900, between three of us we'd have a larger budget of $1300. However depending on various situations (as usual) it may change.

Just popping up to ask about some good places to look, suggestions on where to find listing online and in Toronto itself and so on. Thanks for the tips!
