Having successfully completed my first week at work without being fired, upsetting anyone or quitting I have to admit to being very pleased about the weekend. Unfortunately, the wolf has been doing his best to put a downer on the new job by eating my 30 year old sheepskin I inherited from my mother, ripping out the pocket on my new long fake-sheepskin, ripping the lining in my winter boots half out, eating my ... well, see 'wolf ate' section at the bottom of the page for the full list!
Being back at the Beeb is not something I'd been looking for or forward to but as it is the one thing I know how to do best (except when it comes to making tea) and it is helping me to climb out of the pit of debt I'd slid into over the last three months I'm not going to complain. Too much. I think I've taken a very junior level Production Co-ordinator's role and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'm also unhappy that no one has bothered to sit down with me and go through details like my filming budget, programme format, edit schedule or crewing requirements. These things are Important as you might imagine. However, we are still in Pre-Production so these things might not have been decided yet, but it would be nice to have some idea of their plans. On the plus side everyone is very nice and we're all going out for dinner on Monday. Unfortunately, crazy random information about Tor has already reared its head but they took the news that I can pick locks incredibly well.
Today I've shopped online til I found a lovely new jacket
here for a paltry amount of money, including shipping. And am slightly happier and a bit more contemporarily dressed. I've been to Tesco for the weekly shop and discovered Terry's chocolate orange ... with popping candy!! Heaven.
And as it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day I'm trying to decide whether to take the wolf on a walk to the waterfalls in the Brecons. The world and his wife are likely to be up there but I want to do something other than clean the house today.
