Why you should read it: This story hardly requires a rec from me. It's already a runner-up for Best DW/TW Crossover Fic over at
dwtwslashawards, so clearly it's been noticed. However, it certainly deserves a rec. The nearly conversational story telling style makes this an easy and enjoyable read, but don't confuse 'easy' with 'simplistic'. The author uses wonderfully clever techniques to portray complex things such as time loops, and lovely, perfect metaphors to describe Ianto's perception of Jack's position in the universe. While this story is told from Ianto's POV, and the story's easy cadence seems to reflect Ianto's calmer mind set, it nevertheless contains one of my all time favorite portrayals of Jack's character. Add to all of this a solid plot, strong action, a dash of angst, discoveries made and secrets revealed - how come you're still reading this review? Click the link and read Pocket Watch Boy instead.
