Summary: After they find the Cyberwoman, Toshiko and Owen are given the task of cleaning all the alien tech out of Ianto's flat.
Why you should read it: phaetonschariot begins by drawing parallels between Toshiko's rescue from her UNIT prison cell and Ianto's fate after the events of 'Cyberwoman', by showing us, through Toshiko's eyes, the kind of man she believes, hopes, Jack to be, and her hopes that he would show Ianto the same mercy. But in so few words, this fic raises a million more little questions, like the ambiguity we saw in series one - Toshiko doesn't know Jack anymore than what he's allowed her to see, and she doesn't know Ianto anymore than what has spilled from his broken shell. As much as this snapshot is of Jack and about Ianto, and the ways in which their relationship is shrouded, it's also about Toshiko's own empathy and willingness to see the good in people.
