Summary: Jack commemorates everything while Ianto keeps lists. Mainly out of self-defense.
Why you should read it: There are many things I love about this fic, not least that Jack is portrayed not only as someone who loves, but as someone who doesn't run away from those memories. Ianto's quiet, watchful eye is a lovely perspective both for the fic and on his character, and there's a sweet sadness to the ending that gives me shivers. A unique concept for a fic, it's beautifully executed both in content and in tone.
