Another fun weekend made even better by the addition of carrieb to the mix! This time, big_bubba was along for the ride. We had dinner and talking and Erik-watching and, as reported elsewhere, turned in early because they are grown ups and I was overcome with allergies. Once I am incapable of actually seeing my company, I think it’s best to go to bed

The "100% rule" is something you've probably used but not named before... the idea that you shouldn't buy something unless you are 100% satisfied with it. carrieb suggests it for clothing (because how often do you stand in the dressing room and think, "Well, it's pretty good. I mean, I could hem up the legs a bit... Or if I wore it with a tank top, the neckline would be okay....And it's on sale..."? ) but I have tried to extend it to other purchases, especially stuff for around the house. So, even though there were two so-so bookcases that might have sort of met our needs, and the price range was good, I did not buy them.

And this story has an even better ending because I was on Craigslist two days later and found a GREAT bookcase at a GREAT price. I went to meet the person and check it out and it's wonderful. I bought it (for less than the posted price, too) and brought it home. It will be a much better solution and will look so nice in our house. I'm glad I waited.

I'm glad you think of me when you watch "Josh"... I think of you folks too, especially when I start singing the snooty French peas song. "Keeeeeeeeeeeep walking!..."
