Gen Con Update Saturday 1.0

Wow... holy cow... where do I begin here?
I really did mean to have at least one report with pictures each day, but things got crazy and, well... here we are, Saturday.

Thursday started out per usual--at Exhibitor HQ by 7am and the game was afoot!
Karma had been working WITH me: Not only had I secured sleeping space for Kyle and Gillian, I'd also managed a reduced price on some badges for them!
Meanwhile, some where in Michigan... my Kyle and Gillian decided to get some extra sleep (darn you, jet lag!) and didn't get on the road until 11am.  Traffic worked against them, and I was getting stupidly worried as they didn't arrive until 4:30 on Thursday, nor into the hotel until 5:00.  By the time they were all set and ready to walk out, there was only 20 minutes left of the Exhibit Hall's open hours, but I walked 'em to a few points and then we exited.
Then it was time for food.  With money burning a hole in my pocket, and my need to provide a great experience for them at Gen Con I decided to take them to the best steak place in town: Mo's: A Place for Steaks!  They're expensive, but DAMN were they the best steaks I've ever eaten!
After a delicious meal it was a walk back to the hotel and then Gillian and Kyle went to LARP while I tried to find something to do.  Unfortunately my options kinda dried up, so I went and hung out in the hotel they were playing at and eventually Kyle and I wandered back while Gillian hung out with some of the Cam folks.

Friday began early with Kyle and I going for breakfast and Gil sleeping in.  I went to work and Kyle wandered around the exhibit hall until Gillian finally met up and they wandered around and such.

I commissioned some artwork from Tyler Walpole, Susan VanCamp, Steve Prescott and Jeff Carlisle while getting confirmation from Ron Spencer that he's both working on more artwork for me and that he's enjoying it too. :)

Dinner was had at Steak and Shake and I saw Gillian and Kyle off to let them enjoy an hour or so of LARP before driving back to Michigan, and trying to figure out how Kyle's going to work at 7am with just 3 hours of sleep if he's lucky!  Best of luck, bud!

I walked over to Embassy Suites to chill out for a few minutes with Matt, and then headed back to the Marriott and to bed (grabbing a warm brownie with ice cream on the way) and crashed for 7 hours (which is a LOT in Gen Con Land.)

Saturday has been a pretty decent day.  I didn't get to do breakfast, but I did go to P.F. Changs for Lunch.  Unfortunately the Beef with Broccoli was not very good (over-cooked, the sauce was a sweet and sour sauce and there were hardly any broccoli on the plate.)

Well, it's 3pm. I am now off the clock, so I'm going to try to explore the exhibit hall (for the first real time.)
