Well, I got up Tuesday morning and headed up to Skeetown to hang out with Kyle and stuff.
I got there around 11am and sometime around Noon we had some breakfast (cornbeef hash and eggs) and after a little while we drove to his dad's to drop off some soup (thoop!) and headed up to PetCo to get some cat food, then down to Hobby Lobby for some art supplies. After that it was over to Pet Supplies Plus for a humidity gauge. While wandering around the mall area we noticed some fire trucks and ambulance at the Traverse City Pie Company. As I was almost to the stop sign, I was rubber-necking to look at the emergency vehicles and noticed something. I freaked Kyle out by throwing the car into reverse and driving a few dozen feet back and driving into the driveway. The reason was revealed when I pulled into Batteries Plus because I've been talking about him replacing his motherboard battery for some time to fix the fluctuating time issue. After that it was driving back up to PetCo to hit the Office Max next-door to it and then made it back to Kyle's home.
We sat and watched DVDs of NCIS and such while I re-colored the Living Vine image and then combined the Living Vine and Spider Goblin images into useful wallpapers (4:3, and 16:9)

Yeah, there are some issues with using these as wallpapers, mostly in that the background is fairly neutral, so text and such kinda disappear on 'em. So feel free to use it, but lemme know if you do because, well, it'd be cool to know. :)
(pencil work is by the amazing Ron Spencer, and I did the coloring.)
Septic Issues:
I got home around midnight or so... and at about 2am, I heard the sewer lines gurgling. Our septic field has been acting up on us (possibly roots in the system or something) and so I figured it was just going to gurgle a bit, but then I started hearing water pouring from the "wood room" (a room in our basement where we used to store chords of wood in Winter) and I was, like, "OH SHIT!"" I ran to the wood room and saw water pouring down and then ran upstairs and found the washer on its spin-cycle. Apparently my mother had done two loads of laundry, as well as taken a shower last night and so the system was backed up. I turned off the washer and stopped that nonsense. The water was mostly clean, as the water wasn't rushing back from the septic tank, but just not getting into the flooded line. Well, by morning the line should be better as it flowed slowly back into the septic field or whatever. Then at 4am I heard water sounds again. WTF?! I ran to the bathroom and my mother had used the toilet and the chain had fallen off of the lever and got stuck under the plug and so it was just draining water into the line and it was starting to gurgle again. DAMNIT! So I had to fix that, but, seriously? *grumbles* If I hadn't still been up at 4am, I'd be woken up to a flooded basement. Today we had the septic company come out... they'll be putting in a new drainage field. They're blaming the maple trees for their expansive root systems, which is most likely. My thinking is that a root has gotten into the main line out of the septic tank, causing a physical block. If that is the case, it'll be MUCH less expensive... but I have a feeling they'll just make a new field and that'll be that.
