Let it SNOOOWWWWWW

Dec 19, 2008 08:17

I went to bed last night around 10pm and there wasn't a snowflake falling. So even with "Possible 6-10 inches possible" from the storm coming, I didn't have high hopes for much snow, but just to be safe I parked my car in the garage facing outwards. But this morning I woke up and WHOO-HOO! SNOW! Now, there may only be 3-4 inches actually on the ground, but it's blowing around pretty good and so I'm curious if it'll be powder, or packed junk. Grand Haven Area Public Schools have closed (free lunch at work today?,) so my guess is that Matt doesn't have to work today. Heh.

Looking at the closings on TV, it seems that not just churches and schools are reporting closings these days... 8 pages of "Curves" (a local 24-hour fitness center franchise) were on the screen. It was slightly amusing, but a bit gratuitous too.

My transmission in my car has been slipping a whole lot this week and so last night I checked the fluids and... bone dry. o.O Damnit. Well, at least it's a fluid problem and not necessarily a mechanical one (yet!) Gotta address that today... in the blizzard (or at least in the garrage when I get home from work. I'm SOOO glad we got the garage cleaned up for this Winter.)

No plans for the weekend yet. I SHOULD do some cleaning.

For now, I'm going to get ready for work.
