An earthquake a minute ago woke us all up here. I do not know how strong it was but everything was moving quite a bit and there was quite a bit of noise as well. I think it was quite short, shorter than a minute. Some people went outside but we stayed in and I am going back to sleep shortly. People are worried about repeats and are saying that they

Yeah, everything is OK here, there was no damage. We went back to sleep and it was nice and calm for the rest of the night.

Were there any after shocks?

No, there were no aftershocks (at least not anything noticeable). Our volunteers who experienced it for the first time are so excited, they can't stop speaking about it all day to today.

I had my first earthquake experience not so long ago in the south of South Korea. At first I thought it was the washing machine on spin cycle but quickly realised it wasn't that at all. Very strange sensation indeed. Hope you got back to sleep ok.

One would not mistake this one for a washing machine, way too much noise and movement. We went back to sleep shortly and the rest of the night was nice and calm. Our volunteers who experienced it for the first time are so excited, it is all they could talk about all morning.
